Salary: £38,000 per annum

The Senior Events and Digital Fundraising Executive will be responsible for managing and supporting on the delivery of our key fundraising and special events, in particular sponsored fundraising events, third party challenge events, including supporting on the TCS London Marathon.

You will take general responsibility for developing plans and budgets, marketing the events, taking a lead on logistics, providing excellent support to all participants and ensuring events reach income targets within agreed expenditure.

This role will also support the Individual Giving and Legacies manager by developing our digital presence fundraising offering on our digital channels – including virtual events and fundraising appeals.

The Senior Events and Digital Fundraising Executive will receive general support and direction from Head of Events and Supporter Engagement, but is expected to operate with a level of self-sufficiency and autonomy. The post holder is required to work closely with colleagues across the charity, particularly in the fundraising team, to maximise income generation opportunities and cultivation of supporters across the department.

 

The Team:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving, one off donations and our online shop. 

The team also delivers a range of supporter engagement events and activities across the department and leads on supporter journeys and communications including the monthly newsletter.

The Events and Supporter Engagement department is a small yet mighty team of five. The Supporter Engagement Officer is line managed by the Individual Giving and Legacies Manager and works closely with all members of the team.

Our membership offer for hospices and their staff teams includes online resources, newsletters, conferences, networks, clinical and advocacy programmes. We bring hospices and sector partners together to discuss new ideas and collaborate in new ways, sharing good practice and celebrating the brilliant and innovative work that happens every day in hospices around the country.

 

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for someone with experience of project managing events successfully to budget as well as managing staff and volunteers at these events.

You will have excellent communication skills as well as knowledge of a range of marketing techniques across a variety of media and their application to events fundraising.
