Johnny's Happy Place is hosting a Grief Café on Saturday 7th May from 10am – 2 pm.
JHP is a weekend cafe space which was set up by the family and friends of Johnny Mackay, a young man who sadly took his own life in 2014. Given the beginnings and development of JHP, the focus of the Grief Cafe will be, in part, on the grief and loss of a young person, including living with a loved one who has taken their own life. However, the focus is on grief and grief is universal, so all are truly welcome. It’s good for us all to try to get over our initial uneasiness around the topic and share our sad and happy stories and to comfort and to support each other. And there is cake too…
