The Commission into the Future of Hospice Care asked patients, families and carers to complete a postcard which asked two questions to help understand what is special and different about the care they received in their local hospice.
This two-part comic gives feedback on the findings.

This resource presents themes emerging from more than 700 postcards which were received as part of the Commission’s work to gather views from users of hospice care regarding their experience of hospice care.
These views were discussed at an event that brought together users of hospice care and members of the public with an interest in its future. Participants worked together to develop recommendations for the Commission to consider. These are described in the second half of the publication, and include:
Discussion of what needs to be different.
Better support for carers.
Improved service integration.
This resource is part of a series of contributions to the Commission into the Future of Hospice Care. The aim of the Commission into the Future of Hospice Care is to help hospices look ahead so they can anticipate and meet the changing and growing needs of the communities they serve.
