Anita has been a registered nurse for more than 40 years and trained at UCLH.
Anita worked in the NHS as a clinician and lecture practitioner in burns and plastic surgery nursing, before her career led her into clinical roles in cancer and palliative care practice and quality improvement, then into service and workforce redesign, at the cancer network and then strategic health authority. She held a Director of Nursing role in the Cancer Network and worked closely with the seven hospices across Kent and Medway.
Anita worked in the National End of Life Care Programme Team for England between 2008 to 2012 and then in NHS Improving Quality leading the End of Life Care programme until 2015 when she started working for the voluntary sector.
As Head of Clinical Leadership for Hospice UK Anita has responsibility for delivering our clinical work programmes along with the clinical team. She says “I am passionate about improving palliative and end of life care for all and feel very privileged having an opportunity to work with so many amazing colleagues across the sector".
